The story was completely omitted from this game, apart from an ending being present. Upon starting the game the player is given the option to start on any of the 8 levels that this game has.

Released unofficially in the late 90s during the twilight years of the Nintendo Entertainment System, *Aladdin II* is a fascinating bootleg masterpiece developed by Hummer Team (often distributed under various pirate moniker labels like Somari Team). Capitalizing on the immense popularity of Disney’s animated classic and the official 16-bit ports, this unlicensed 8-bit sequel pushed the aging Famicom/NES hardware to its absolute limits. While it bears no official Disney endorsement, the game offers a completely original platforming adventure through mythical Arabian nights, featuring vibrant, custom-drawn pixel art, surprisingly fluid sprite animation, and an impressive chiptune rendition of the film's iconic musical motifs adapted for the NES Ricoh 2A03 sound chip.

Gameplay Features & Mechanics

Unlike many cheap 8-bit cash grabs, *Aladdin II* boasts tight, responsive side-scrolling platform mechanics. Players guide the street-rat hero across diverse, multi-tiered stages ranging from bustling Agrabah markets and subterranean caves to treacherous palace rooftops. Aladdin's primary offensive maneuver is hurling an infinite supply of glowing apples to stun or eliminate royal guards, bats, and snake-like adversaries. When enemies get too close, he defends himself with a swift, close-range scimitar slash. The environmental interaction is remarkably rich; players must leap across collapsing platforms, bounce off springboards, collect sparkling rubies for extra lives, and unlock magical chests. Navigation relies heavily on verticality, requiring precision jumps, rope climbing, and magic carpet ride bonus stages that shift the perspective into high-speed obstacle evasion.
