The Sega SG-1000 was Sega’s first home console, released in Japan on the same day as the Famicom in July 1983. Though it lost the console war to Nintendo, it laid the foundation for Sega’s future hardware and introduced many franchises that would later define the company. A rare and historically significant platform.
