Famicom Disk System

The Famicom Disk System was Nintendo’s floppy disk peripheral for the Famicom, released in Japan in 1986. It enabled larger, rewritable games and introduced iconic titles like The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and Kid Icarus. Many FDS exclusives were never officially released outside Japan.
