And just when you think you have it down, here comes another ball a chance to earn bonus points, sure, but an extra challenge too! Master that, and Pin Bot tosses another evil shock an unpredictable, ball gobbling monster that wants to end your turn NOW.

Its the best of pinball action! Its Pin Bot! Live action pinball for one to four players.

Pin Bot

Overview & History

Released by Nintendo in 1990 and developed by Rare, Pin Bot successfully translated Williams' iconic 1983 arcade pinball table into a home console experience on the NES. Deviating from standard pinball formulas, the game features a sci-fi narrative tasking players with fueling a robotic lifeform known as Pin-Bot, who wakes up in a vacuum-sealed chamber with the ultimate goal of launching a rocket into the sun. Rather than just aiming for high scores, the NES adaptation transforms the silver-ball action into a goal-oriented quest, tasking you with collecting solar energy to complete the robot's face panels and initiate the final countdown.

Gameplay Features & Mechanics

The game splits its perspective between the classic slanted table view and surreal bonus stages where your paddle transforms into a laser-blasting spaceship. On the main pinball table, you control the left and right flippers using the controller to bounce the ball across bumpers, ramps, and drop targets. Hitting specific targets sequentially illuminates the grid to open Pin-Bot’s mouth and eyes, locking balls to trigger multi-ball chaos. The physics engine captures a surprisingly authentic heavy-ball feel, demanding precise timing for flipper catches and bank shots. Clearing the table's main objectives transports you to the cockpit mini-game, where you must destroy space debris and enemy ships to rack up massive multipliers before returning to the pinball arena.
