Gameplay Features & Mechanics

The storyline plunges players back into the futuristic year 20XX, where the villainous Dr. Wily has returned with eight new mechanical menaces—Bubble Man, Air Man, Quick Man, Metal Man, Wood Man, Crash Man, Flash Man, and Heat Man. Gameplay revolves around conquering these nonlinear stages in any chosen order.
