Description

Sports Trivia combines football management with a sports quiz. In order for the player to win a football match, a careful strategy must be chosen, then the player must answer some sport-related questions in a limited. More correct answers will allow the player’s team more yardage across the field for a higher chance of scoring.

This particular version of the game is not fully understood – it is thought to have only been distributed as a pack-in with Game Gear consoles. A separate, updated version exists in the form of Sports Trivia: Championship Edition.

Sports Trivia abandons character moves, combat, and jumping mechanics in favor of pure intellectual combat. The core gameplay loop revolves around answering a massive database of multiple-choice questions spanning baseball, basketball, football, hockey, and miscellaneous Olympic events.
