Gameplay Features & Mechanics

Greendog navigates side-scrolling platform stages armed with an unconventional arsenal, trading traditional weapons for a frisbee and a trusty skateboard. The frisbee doubles as both a ranged projectile to stun aggressive island wildlife—such as crabs, jumping fish, and tiki guards—and a utility tool to trigger switches. Throughout the stages, Greendog can collect hidden power-ups, extra surfboards for health, and letters spelling out "GREENDOG" for bonus lives. Certain zones transition into fast-paced bonus minigames, requiring players to pilot a surfboard through treacherous wave-riding sections or snorkel underwater while dodging marine predators with limited oxygen meters. Precision jumping and timing are vital, as missed landings over bottomless pits or spikes will instantly deplete Greendog's precious health gauges.
