Capitalizing on the growing handheld market, developer Codemasters fused classic arcade table physics with a high-fantasy medieval narrative. Players embark on a quest as an apprentice sorcerer attempting to vanquish a rogue warlock by channeling mystical energy through a silver sphere, which acts as the ultimate spellcasting catalyst across haunted castle battlements and subterranean dragon lairs.

Gameplay Features & Mechanics

Unlike standard vertical pinball simulators, Wizard Pinball utilizes a smart scrolling camera to navigate its expansive, multi-tiered fantasy tables. Players must manage standard flippers using precise timing, but success relies on activating specific bumpers and spell-runes to trigger magical multiball modes, potion brewing minigames, and wizard duels. Hitting the grimoire target sequence unleashes lightning bolts that clear outer obstacles, while sinking the ball into the cauldron hole initiates a bonus round where players cast defensive wards against descending gargoyles. The game features vibrant 8-bit sprite work, dynamic chiptune organ soundtracks, and password save-states to track your magical progression.
