Speedy can throw his hat or jump enemies to defeat them. To get an ally, you need to collect certain objects (e.g. carrots for Bugs Bunny) and in the meantime, you also have to free your captured friends. Ay, carumba!

Released by Ocean Software in 1995 exclusively for the Sega Genesis and Game Gear, Cheese Cat-Astrophe Starring Speedy Gonzales is a vibrant, fast-paced platformer based on the beloved classic Warner Bros. Looney Tunes characters. The storyline kicks off when the clumsy antagonist Sylvester the Cat, desperate for money and tired of failing to catch the fast-moving mouse, opens a fraudulent Mexican restaurant chain called "Mexicatessen." To lure Speedy Gonzales and his starving fellow village mice into a trap, Sylvester poisons the cheese supply, kidnapping Speedy's beloved girlfriend Rosita in the process. It is up to the "fastest mouse in all of Mexico" to dash through hazardous environments, rescue the mice, and foil Sylvester's purr-fectly insidious culinary scheme.
