Released by Empire Software in 1994 exclusively for the Sega Genesis, Combat Cars is a high-octane, isometric vehicular combat racing game that attempted to merge the frantic drift-heavy action of titles like Micro Machines with the ruthless weaponized combat of Road Rash. Rather than focusing purely on speed, the game thrusts players into gritty, futuristic racing circuits where survival depends as much on precise cornering as it does on deploying an aggressive arsenal of heavy ordnance.
