Released in 2000 by Luxoflux and published by LucasArts, Star Wars: Demolition initially debuted on the PlayStation and Dreamcast before arriving in the arcade landscape. Set during the height of Jabba the Hutt's intergalactic criminal empire, the game's storyline revolves around the ultimate blood sport: a vehicular combat tournament replacing the banned Podraces. Jabba hosts the brutal competition across exotic planetary arenas like Naboo, Tatooine, and Hoth, where iconic heroes and villains alike pilot heavily armed repulsorlift craft and bizarre beasts. Unlike traditional vehicular combat games of its era, Star Wars: Demolition blends fast-paced arcade destruction with beloved franchise lore, featuring announcer voice lines, destructible environmental hazards, and power-ups themed around thermal detonators, proton torpedoes, and ion cannons.

Gameplay Features & Mechanics

The gameplay revolves around intense, arena-based vehicular combat where the primary goal is to obliterate rival combatants.
