Description

Incorporating RC racing on land and oceanic settings, Acclaim’s RC Revenge will have you manning the controls of radio-controlled cars and boats; you’ll be racing these bad-boys through various theme park locations. As you win tournaments and races, more cars, boats and tracks are made available.

Unlocking new tracks and vehicles is accomplished by competing in the single-player Championship mode, where you’ll race through eight levels for the championship prize. During any given race, there are pick-up items strewn about — these surprise packages will boost your vehicle’s performance and deter your opponents.

RC Revenge

Released in 2000 by Acclaim Entertainment, RC Revenge is a high-octane, arcade-style kart racer that shrinks players down to the scale of miniature remote-controlled vehicles. Set within a sprawling, chaotic movie studio backlot, the game features tracks themed around five distinct cinematic worlds: Horror, Sci-Fi, Jungle, Western, and Monster. Players control a diverse roster of colorful RC cars, trucks, and boats, each boasting unique stats in acceleration, handling, and top speed. Developed as a spiritual successor to Re-Volt, it delivered fast-paced, explosive racing action to both arcade cabinets and home consoles.

Gameplay Features & Mechanics

The core gameplay of RC Revenge revolves around weapon-based combat and physics-defying track navigation. Vehicles dynamically morph when transitioning between land and water, shifting wheels into aquatic propulsion systems. Players race through highly interactive movie sets filled with destructible environments and hidden shortcuts. Power-up icons scattered across the tracks yield devastating tools, including homing missiles, oil slicks, speed boosts, and protective shields. Mastering the "hop" mechanic is essential for survival, allowing players to jump over obstacles, trigger drifts around sharp corners, and dodge incoming projectiles.
