Description

Final DOOM for PlayStation is a compilation of 30 levels from the PC version of Final DOOM and the Master Levels.

Evilution: Far from earth, the UAC recommenced their experiments on on of the moons of Jupiter. A spaceship, mistaken for a supply vexxel on radar, hovered above the base. Hideous demons poured out, blanketing the base with death. All your comrades were quickly slaughtered or zombified. This time, it’s not about survival. It’s about revenge.

The Plutonia Experiment: Every effort has been made by the nation’s top scientists to close the seven interdimensional Gates of Hell, but one portal remains open. Alone, you must infiltrate the ravaged complex, defeat the demon Gatekeeper and seal the last Hell-hole before the undead are prepared to, once again, take over the world.

Final DOOM

Released in 1996 as a stand-alone sequel to Doom II, Final DOOM represents the pinnacle of punishing, classic first-person shooter design. Developed by TeamTNT and the Casali brothers, and published by id Software, this massive compilation features two grueling 32-level campaigns: TNT: Evilution and The Plutonia Experiment. Evilution follows a UAC research outpost on Jupiter's moon Io overrun by a deceptive demonic starship, while Plutonia tasks the lone Marine with closing Earth's quantum teleportation gates to stop an overwhelming, sudden dimensional breach.

Gameplay Features & Mechanics

Utilizing the legendary id Tech 1 engine, Final DOOM elevates level design to sadistic heights, offering a much steeper difficulty curve than its predecessors. Players must navigate intricate, non-linear mazes, hunt for colored keycards, and survive devious monster traps. The game features the complete Doom II arsenal—including the devastating Super Shotgun, Plasma Rifle, and BFG9000—to battle aggressive legions of Arch-viles, Revenants, and Chaingunners. Movement mechanics emphasize high-speed footwork and lateral strafing to evade heavy projectile fire. Because the engine lacks vertical aiming and jumping, combat relies on auto-aim and strategic positioning, forcing players to master resource management and map layout memorization.
