Players choose from a roster of iconic real-world pros of the era, including Barrett Christy, Peter Line, and Todd Richards, each modeled with unique stats prioritizing speed, airtime, or carving stability. Accompanied by a punk-fueled soundtrack and authentic ESPN television-style presentation, the game delivers pure retro counter-culture nostalgia.

Gameplay Features & Mechanics

The core gameplay is split between race-oriented speed trials and trick-heavy stunt runs. Across disciplines like Slopestyle, Halfpipe, and Big Air, players must master momentum and gravity. The physics engine prioritizes arcade-style verticality; hitting the lip of a ramp with maximum speed launches the rider into the sky to perform complex aerial maneuvers. Players can execute classic 90s grabs—such as the Method, Indy, and Mute—combined with 360 to 1080-degree spins and front or backflips. Landing clean is crucial; off-axis landings result in spectacular wipeouts, draining the player's momentum and scoring potential. Building the trick meter unlocks speed boosts and allows the execution of signature moves unique to each pro boarder, while navigating hazardous shortcuts rewards daring lines. Completing championships unlocks advanced boards with enhanced edge-control and friction reduction.
