Players step into the golden armor of Gilgamesh, a heroic knight tasked with ascending a foreboding 60-floor labyrinth. His ultimate quest is to rescue the maiden Ki from the clutches of the evil demon Druaga, who has stolen the sacred Blue Crystal Rod and hidden it at the apex of the tower. Gameplay Features & Mechanics

Progressing through The Tower of Druaga requires far more than brute-force combat; it demands a meticulous understanding of obscure, hidden mechanics. On each single-screen floor, Gilgamesh must find a concealed treasure chest and reach the exit door before a strict timer runs out. However, making the chests appear requires performing hyper-specific, often counterintuitive actions, such as swinging the sword a precise number of times, walking along specific wall tiles, or defeating enemies in a rigid order. Gilgamesh is armed with a short sword, which he uses to thrust at gelatinous slimes, armored knights, dragons, and wizards. He also carries a shield that automatically blocks fireballs and magic projectiles when facing the correct direction. The pacing is tense and deliberate, as every floor introduces deadlier foes and increasingly cryptic treasure puzzles, forcing players to map out strategies or rely on community lore to survive the treacherous ascent to the 60th floor.
