Description

A random sequence of shapes falls down the playing field. The objective of the game is to manipulate these shapes, by moving each one sideways and rotating it by 90 degree units, with the aim of creating a horizontal line of blocks without gaps.

When such a line is created with at least a bomb in it, it explodes and destroys surrounding bricks, and any brick above the deleted lines will fall. The more bombs you get in your lines, the bigger the explosion is by chain reaction.

As the game progresses, each level causes the shapes to fall faster, and the game ends when the stack of shapes reaches the top of the playing field and no new shape is able to enter or when you succeed in clearing the 25 levels.

Players assume the role of Pyro Pete, an intrepid subterranean demolition expert tasked with clearing unstable, monster-infested caverns before toxic gas fills the chambers. Unlike standard maze-runners of its vintage, the title weaves a quirky narrative where Pete must salvage ancient, ticking relics from the clutches of the cavernous Geode Goblins, balancing precision navigation with explosive chain reactions.

Gameplay Features & Mechanics

Mechanically, *Bomb'n Blast* requires sharp spatial awareness and split-second calculation. Players navigate Pete across a multi-tiered, destructible stone grid, laying volatile explosives to clear crumbling pathways and eliminate hostile subterranean beasts. Each level introduces unique environmental hazards, from slippery ice-covered floor tiles that ruin momentum to rolling boulders that crush anything in their path. Pete's primary offensive move is dropping timed detonators; players can manually trigger these explosives or rely on devastating chain-reaction blasts to clear massive sections of the screen at once. Special power-ups, such as the 'Flame-Boost' and 'Remote Detonator,' alter the dynamics of map control, allowing for strategic chokepoint management. The difficulty escalates rapidly as enemy AI grows more aggressive, hunting Pete down through freshly blasted rubble corridors.
